“ The location is great, fantastic views. We were excited about our starters, as we ordered steamer clams and crabs cakes. They were okay, not fantastic. The portions were small for the prices, and they were a little bland. I felt there was more crust than crab in the cakes. The presentation was beautiful, but needed more flavor. The crab Mac N Cheese entree was very good, but again, the portions were small. My kids were still hungry after their meals. The ceasar salad and clam chowder were good. They were my favorite out of everything. I just wish they had better bread options. My favorite part of a seafood dining experience is the bread, and their bread was lacking. The desserts were phenomenal, especially the bread pudding. I highly recommend that out of all our selections. ”

“ After a long day of work, it was nice to unwind with this gorgeous waterfront dining experience. A group of us went exploring New Port waterfront area, and many people recommended Clearwater to us as a dining option. We did not call ahead, and had to wait roughly 30min for a table, but that didn't bother us because they have a system where they will text you when your table is ready. So, we were able to continue to explore, and we even stumbled upon a pier that is directly behind the Clearwater restaurant where adorable sea lions lay out, sleep and sun bathe. Clearwater has extensive menus for both food, cocktails, beer/wine, and mocktails. Our server was not only helpful, but he was also the king of small talk. He would ask each of us about ourselves, and found unique and interesting ways to connect and relate with us through various stories from his life and experiences. The interior is chic yet comfortable. There are seats with a view of the water, or near the gorgeous bar setup, and even on the patio. The food was not only tasty, it was altogether "pretty." If you wanted modifications or extra sides/components you could be accommodated accordingly. As you eat you can see servers bring out various dessert delicacies, and they will have you second guessing pushing through that "full" feeling. When you are ready to check out, Clearwater does something really unique and neat... they will provide each patron with a postcard with the Newport waterfront pictures, and they will give you pens and the instructions that you can fill out the postcard, leave it with them, and they will stamp and mail it anywhere for you. It was a very nice touch. I would definitely check out this choice Newport spot if you're ever in the area or passing through. It will be WELL worth your time. ”

“ We were a little nervous about time showing up without reservation 1.5 hours before close, but they seated us within 10 minutes and we got to enjoy the sea lion dock around the corner while we waited. Our waiter was super friendly and also a Minnesota native! The food and drinks were great, the only thing I’d note is the portion sizes were a bit small, but still worth it. They offer postcards to mail out and I loved that touch! Would recommend. ”

Calling out Kaden for the great job. Atmosphere: It is next to the port which has great views. There are sea lions singing very close to it during the night. The smell of them could be disturbing. ”

“ This place is amazing for a romantic evening with my partner. We were here during our trek down the PCH and celebrated a special occasion. The food was incredible, the service was stellar and the atmosphere was so chill. After we ordered, we stepped out on to the deck to watch and laugh at all the sea lions jockeying for space on the platforms in the water to settle in for the night. They were so delightful and made our night. ”
